About the Instructor
Gene Fletcher is a longtime Anderson resident, husband, father, coach, and the founder of Combat Ministries, Inc. For more than two decades, Gene has dedicated his life to helping individuals discover purpose and confidence through Christ, while leaning into his passion for martial arts and developing leaders.
A 2005 graduate of Anderson University, Gene has served as a Youth Pastor, Martial Arts Instructor/Coach, and now Executive Director of The Center by Combat Ministries, home to the organization’s martial arts program, Freedom Martial Arts & Fitness.
With almost 40 years of training in various disciplines (Taekwondo, Kickboxing, Judo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Karate, and various weapons arts) Gene emphasizes self-defense as an attitude, presence and posture. An art of “fighting without fighting”— this session will prioritize awareness, prevention, and practical life‑skills.
